When looking at a package, most consumers have already determined what type of marker they want but are unsure of the other necessities needed to operate the gun. If you are considering this package, we already know that the Spyder Gun Series already has what you are looking for, however, the type of propellant that is needed to operate the gun at the levels it is designed to operate are not always addressed. So, we have put together a pro's and con's list comparing the two propellants that can be used for your marker, Compressed Air or Nitrogen and CO2.

Compressed Air/Nitrogen Facts:

many of you have heard the terminology Compressed Air being used and in another sentence the word Nitrogen was used. Both words are the same when applied to the paintball world.
Most paintball fields make their own air. A compressor is used to compress the atmospheric air (Compressed Air) into a storage tank. By compressing the air, a high level of PSI is obtained, usually around 5000 psi depending on what type of compressor is being used. The atmospheric air that is being compressed is 70% nitrogen. Should the location you get your tank filled not have a compressor, they probably have to purchase their air. Most welding supply shops do not have compressed air, but they do have nitrogen. Nitrogen is a bi product of when oxygen is being bottled for hospital use. Remember, the guns do not recognize the type of gas but the pressure that the gas puts off.
From the storage tank, the smaller personal use tanks, like the one being offered in the package, are filled.
the regulator on top of the compressed air tank will then regulates the air pressure inside the tank down to approximately 800 psi which is needed for most markers to operate
the gauge on the side of the regulator will tell you approximately how many shots are left before a refill is needed.
because most fields make their own air, the refill cost is very inexpensive. Most field operators will charge a one time "shoot all the air you can" fee when attending their field for a day of play.
compressed air is clean and consistent, not affected by outside temperature.

CO2 Facts:

upon being filled, liquid CO2 is placed inside your tank to achieve the weight that your tank was designed for. A 20 ounce tank will get 20 ounces of liquid CO2.
in theory, the liquid is to transfer to gas which is what your marker is designed for.
at an outside temp of 70 degrees, the CO2 will put off a psi level of approximately 900
because CO2 is affected by outside temperature, it is very unstable.
not intended for use under 40 degrees, in cold temperatures, liquid does not like to transfer resulting in your marker shooting at a much lower speed
should you want to top of your tank after shooting half of the CO2 inside. All of the CO2 must be drained to obtain an empty weight then your tank can be refilled. So even though you only needed half the amount of CO2 that was placed in your tank, you will be charged for a full fill.
unable to be exact on the amount of CO2 that is inside your tank. You have to weight your tank, but if you do not know what it weighed when it was empty, you will still be guessing.
overall, CO2 is very unstable when comparing to compressed air.

If you have a gun that can shoot full auto, you are gonna want a loader that will keep up with it. This loader is not required for the marker to function, however, sometimes gravity is just not enough to get the balls to feed fast enough. This electronic loader is just fast enough to keep up with your Pilot marker.
